Cancellation and refund policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026
Effective date: 28 August 2026.
1. Introduction and scope
This Cancellation and Refund Policy ("Policy") is issued by AstroVed.com Pvt. Ltd. ("Company", "we", "us" or "our") and describes the circumstances in which a cancellation or refund applies to a purchase of Credits on Suited by AstroVed (the "Platform" or the "Service"), in accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. This Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, the Terms and Conditions.
2. Nature of the product
Credits are prepaid digital units that unlock premium compatibility checks. A Credit pack purchased through Razorpay is credited to a User's wallet immediately on successful payment, and a Credit is spent, with the premium result delivered, at the instant it is used for a check. The Service is accordingly a digital product with instant delivery on use, and this Policy is framed around that delivery model.
3. Cancellation
The Service does not involve a subscription. Every Credit-pack purchase is a single, one-time charge, and the Company does not set up auto-debit, e-mandate or any other recurring billing arrangement. Because nothing on the Platform auto-renews, there is no subscription or standing instruction for a User to cancel. Credits that remain unused simply stay in the User's wallet until spent; Credits do not expire.
4. Refunds — general position
Because Credits are prepaid and are delivered instantly at the moment of use, Credits are, as a general rule, non-refundable once purchased, whether or not a User ultimately spends every Credit in a pack. This general position is subject to the automatic exceptions set out in clause 5.
5. Automatic exceptions
The following situations are handled automatically, without a User needing to raise a request:
- A premium check fails to generate. Where a technical failure causes a premium check not to complete successfully, the Credit spent on that attempt is automatically returned to the User's wallet. A User does not lose a Credit for a failed attempt.
- Failed or duplicate payments. Where a payment fails after funds have left a User's account, or a User is charged more than once for the same purchase, the affected amount is refunded to the original payment method through Razorpay, typically within five to seven business days, in accordance with Razorpay's standard refund timelines.
- Genuine billing errors. Where a User believes they have been charged incorrectly for any other reason, the Company will investigate on request and correct the error, including by way of a refund where one is due.
6. Refund method and timelines
Where a refund is due under this Policy, it is issued to the original payment method used for the purchase, processed through Razorpay. Processing timelines follow Razorpay's standard settlement and banking timelines and are ordinarily completed within five to seven business days of the refund being initiated, though the exact timing may depend on the User's bank or card issuer.
7. Chargebacks and disputes
Where a payment is reversed by a User's bank or card issuer, including by way of a chargeback, the corresponding Credits are reversed from the User's wallet. The Company requests that a User raise any concern about a charge with support in the first instance, before initiating a chargeback, so that the Company has the opportunity to resolve the matter directly.
8. How to request a refund
Where a User believes their situation falls outside the automatic exceptions in clause 5, or wishes to raise a billing concern, the User should contact support with the account email, the approximate date of purchase, and a short description of the issue. The Company will acknowledge a refund request within a few business days and aims to resolve most requests within two weeks; where the return of funds depends on Razorpay's own processing timelines, those timelines apply to that part of the request.
9. Grievance officer and contact
For any matter relating to a payment, a Credit balance, or this Policy, contact the Company using the details above, the Grievance Officer, or the Contact us page.
10. Governing law
This Policy is governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, India, consistent with clause 17 of the Terms and Conditions.
